Acquisition of Nidera completed

The acquisition of Nidera by COFCO has been completed on 28 February, 2017. COFCO International announced today that COFCO has completed the acquisition of the remaining shares in Nidera on 28 February.

Dierk Overheu stepped down as CEO of Nidera and announced his retirement effective upon the closing.

Acquisition Nidera officially approved

COFCO International (“COFCO”) announced today that all required regulatory approvals have been received, allowing COFCO International to acquire the remaining minority stake in Nidera Capital B.V. (“Nidera”), currently held by Cygne B.V.

The acquisition brings COFCO International’s ownership in Nidera to 100%.

Patrick Yu on World Economic Forum

Patrick Yu, Chairman of our Supervisory Board, attended the World Economic Forum in Davos last week.

He actively participated in a panel discussion on climate change, together with thought leaders such as the former Vice President of the United States of America Al Gore, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina, the Prime Minister of Norway Erna Solberg, and the Group Chief Executive of HSBC Holdings Stuart Gulliver.
